Bayonet

Mamiya-Sekor Mount Ten gold plated contacts but not extremely slick functions. Changing the lens needs more force than for instance in Olympus or Minolta cameras.

Sekor f1,7/50mmMamiya-Sekor EF 50mm f/1,7

The optical design of E and EF lenses are similar. EF lenses have an ability to read the focused distance from the lens.

EF knob

That function is switch able and works with Mamiyalite Flash Units/ZE-X and controls the flash for a proper exposure.

Mamiya-Sekor Lenses were famous for they excellent quality , equal to most top-rated brands, like Nikon, Canon, Leica etc. On ebay or in a second hand store you may found a real jewel at a considerably low price. I mean that they are really excellent for taking pictures, not only for a nice decoration on the collectors vithrine. (like mostly in my case) Sekor 28-50mm

Mamiya-Sekor Zoom E 28 - 50mm f/3,5 - 4,5
(8 groups / 9 lenses)

Sekor 200mm

Mamiya-Sekor E 200mm f/4

A nice medium telephoto lens (5groups / 5 lenses)

Mamiya Sekor Zoom E 80 ~ 200 mm f/4Sekor 80-200

I suppose that this lens is quite rare. It is a Mamiya-Sekor lens but it is not indexed "anywhere"

1. The zoom mechanism differs from the "original".
2. Largest aperture is f4.0 not f3.8
3. Serial number is very low / 11031

Sekor E 80-200

Mamiya Sekor Zoom 70 - 150mm f/3,8 E
(9 groups / 12 lenses)

This lens had a reputation of an eccellent performance.

Sekor 70-150
The Mamiya-Sekor E and Mamiya-Sekor EF series lenses contain special electronic contacts which exchange information with the camera's built-in microprocessor, enabling functions such as total electronic aperture control and compensation. Some important focus-lengths and special lenses can´t be found in Mamiya-Sekor Z-Series lenses.
This deficiency may have substantially caused bigger problem only in the professional use
